This exhibit is created for fans of the popular PBS show “Alma’s Way,” which features the everyday adventures of a confident 6-year-old Puerto Rican girl named Alma Rivera in her vibrant Bronx neighborhood.

The collaboration for this exhibit includes contributions from notable organizations such as The Magic House, the St. Louis Children’s Museum, and Fred Rogers Productions. Visitors of all ages will have opportunities to engage in activities that are designed to foster critical thinking and self-awareness, reflecting the themes of the television series.

The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum is conveniently located in downtown Grand Rapids, making it an accessible destination for families. The museum will welcome visitors Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm and Sunday from 11 am to 4 pm. General admission is priced at $12 per person, allowing families to enjoy a day of fun and educational experiences.

In addition to the general admission, a new Grand Rapids Attractions Pass is being introduced, allowing visitors access to several local attractions at a discounted rate. The 1-Day Attraction Pass is available at $18 for kids and $32 for adults. This pass includes entry to various significant sites such as:

  • Grand Rapids Art Museum: $6 for kids and $12 for adults
  • Grand Rapids Public Museum: $5 for kids and $12 for adults
  • John Ball Zoo: $15 for kids and $20 for adults
