The annual Harvest Festival returns to East Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Saturday, filling Gaslight Village with craft beer, food, live music and fall activities from noon to 6 p.m. in the Grand Rapids suburb.
More than 15 breweries are scheduled to pour at the festival, and wine will also be available for adults. Organizers say West Michigan food trucks and local vendors will serve fall fare throughout the day, and families will find games and activities for kids in the heart of the village shopping district.
Live music runs from noon until the festival closes, with three acts on the center stage: a Grand Rapids band playing 1990s hits, a DJ set in the afternoon and a funk headliner to close out the day. Drink and game tickets can be bought in advance online.
The festival partners with the East Grand Rapids Community Foundation, and proceeds support local schools, neighborhoods and nonprofit groups. Organizers say the event has put hundreds of thousands of dollars back into the community over the years.
The festival also marks the start of East Grand Rapids’ Hearts of Gold Week. This year’s Hearts of Gold campaign benefits Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan, which will have a tent at the festival.
