GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Restaurant Week GR is coming back for a 17th year, running nine days from Nov. 6 through Nov. 14 across the Grand Rapids area.
More than 55 restaurants have signed on. Each will serve a meal of at least two courses at one or more set prices of $25, $35 and $45, with options at breakfast, lunch and dinner depending on the spot.
There is nothing to download this year. Diners sign up for a free digital pass at restaurantweekgr.com, save the link to a phone browser and use it to see menus and check in at each restaurant they visit.
Checking in at three or more places earns a prize, with choices such as a branded apron, a salt and pepper grinder set or a pass to the big wine, beer and food show held at DeVos Place on Nov. 20-21. Six or more check-ins earn a second prize.
Pass holders can also vote for their favorites, picking a top overall experience, the most inventive menu and the best new discovery. Gordon Food Service will give $1 per check-in to a scholarship fund for cooking students in the culinary program at Grand Rapids Community College, known as the Secchia Institute. The event is organized by Experience Grand Rapids.
