GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Fans of Fiction Author Fest returns to Grand Rapids on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Silva Big Room, inviting readers to meet local indie authors from 1 to 5 p.m.

The festival includes cosplayers, a Q and A session, book sales, and new releases. Organizers say attendees can meet more than 30 authors, buy signed books, and join a cosplay contest with prizes.

After the daytime fest, the inaugural Mythics and Monsters Ball begins at 7 p.m. as a Halloween-themed costume dance for ages 18 and older. Tickets are $20 for each event through fansoffictionauthorfest.com.
