GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Families looking for a low-key Halloween outing can head to Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids on Saturday, Oct. 24, when the cancer and grief support nonprofit hosts its yearly Noogiefest party from 1 to 3 p.m.
The group’s clubhouse on the city’s northwest side will offer Halloween-themed games, snacks and pumpkin carving by professionals, and guests can enter a free drawing to take one of the finished pumpkins home. A magic show caps the afternoon at 2:30 p.m., when the activity stations shut down.
There is no charge to attend and all ages are welcome. Costumes are encouraged, but organizers ask guests to skip masks, prop weapons and outfits that are too frightening for young children. The club suggests an RSVP by phone at 616.453.8300.
This year’s party also marks the end of an era. A volunteer family that helped start Noogiefest more than two decades ago is organizing it for the last time in 2026.
